Not sure who, but pre order bikes began arriving at the end of june 09. Thats when i picked mine up so I'm right there with those who pre odered. But i think our sadly departed friend (RIP BJ) Big Jack was the first in the USA we know of to get one. I think he was the first to post here to say he took delivery. And if i rcall he got his a bit earlier then the normal pre order date, so he may well have been the first owner in the USA.

Which anniversary? 1949, 1981, 1994 or 2009? All were years Triumph introduced a Thunderbird model.
I've got an '09 (by vin, model year was 2010), and I'm in no hurry to reach 2019..... ;-)

16 Jan 2010... well, most of it... speedo, bb kit, seat, bars, grips, fork lowers, paint etc all a bit younger...
